Nestled in the center of Ridgefield, nationally acclaimed Chef Brendan Walsh has transformed an enchanting clapboard inn,
originally built in the 18th century, into a setting for food lovers in the 21st century.

Brendan Walsh, the original chef of Arizona 206 in New York City has been credited with placing Southwestern cuisine on the culinary map and won international recognition in the prestigious James Beard “Who’s Who of Cooking in America”. The 1996 opening of Brendan’s at The Elms, Restaurant and Pub was his successful switch to American cuisine.

Right in the heart of the historical town of Ridgefield, Connecticut, Brendan’s has an exciting fresh feel
for seasonal and local cuisine that will stimulate your palate.

Salads, chowders, stews, smoked fish, custards, spoonbreads, pies and puddings are some restaurant favorites. The wood grill fire adds to the allure and naturally enhances the flavors of the chicken, steak, game and seafood dishes. These irresistible entrees are cooked over an open flame that sears in the juices and has customers returning for the last fourteen years. The culinary commitment to fresh, high quality, seasonal ingredients has further sustained success while supporting a network of local farmers. Organic foods are used whenever available.

Come for cocktails, starting at 5:00 P.M. Relax and enjoy a cool drink in our pub and stay for dinner.
The dining style is yours to choose from; three cozy dining rooms or the wood paneled pub.
